Evans new town of Evans on the Platte grows amid brisk activity

Evans, a Platte River town sixty two miles from Cheyenne and forty eight from Denver, rapidly builds with twenty five houses seven eight more under construction and several businesses moving in. A depot post office telegraph are active with lumber scarce and carpenters busy as speculation about railroad completion persists.
