Live Stock Markets Open With Weaker Cattle But Fair Demand
In Denver on Sept 18, cattle offerings were light about 600 head with market volumes similar to Thursday. Beef steers sold mostly $3.75 to $3.90 with top bids higher for select lots, cows ranged $2.20 to $3.00, bulls and calves steady to firm, and sheep trade strong with good prices for wethers and lambs. Representative sales include Stewart and Eppel Kuykendall consignments with mixed weights and prices across cattle and sheep.
