J Jones a former Cheyenne resident, charged with criminal assault on a 14 year old girl, killed himself in a Durango Colorado jail cell using a pocket knife. He died before help arrived as authorities prepared to arraign him. He left a widow and four children. He had prior business troubles and saloon ventures in Cheyenne.
A mother Mrs. A. C. Sheets and her 10-year-old daughter suffered burns from a gasoline explosion at their home yesterday morning. The brief notice cites the accident and mentions a local patent remedy advertisement prior to the ad copy.
