Northwestern Missouri reported an inch of snow while Indian Territory areas faced rain and hail as Muskogee saw a 60 degree fall in under twelve hours. London endures a thick fog shuting business. Kills Two Still Free in Ferrum Shooting

Roanoke Va November 4 William Hale and brother in law Larkin Saunders fled after a mass shooting at a Ferrum political meeting leaving two dead. Pursuing parties failed to capture them as Hale and Saunders escaped into the mountains. Also Washington reports Overlin Carter petitions Supreme Court to advance a habeas corpus hearing in an embezzlement case.

Fire claims Kansas City educator in fatal oil accident

J B Orr principal of Central school Kansas City died after burning clothing caught with coal oil while lighting a kitchen fire. He aged 88 came from Fort Scott and Mrs Orr was injured trying to help. Fire also reported in Jennings Louisiana with oil gusher and large property losses. A freight train wreck near Wilmington Delaware killed fireman James Middleton and injured engineer Frank Gallagher and brakeman J Devine.

Warren Live Stock Manager Reports Incendiary Fire

Manager Gleason returned from the Wheeler ranch after a large hay and corrals fire. He says the blaze appears incendiary and no culprit has been found. If the fire line is captured he will pursue prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.

Relieved from duty Major Wilson reassigned to Philippines

Lumir faces murder trial in Holton farm case

Topeka report says William II Lumir was taken to Oskaloosa to stand trial for murder after he admitted burying his wife whose mutilated body was found on a Holton farm. He had claimed she died by her own action while visiting Texas.

Rail car service regs set for Cheyenne

Hill of the Colorado car service bureau visited Cheyenne and secured rail regulations for freight cars arriving here. Effective November 1, charges apply for cars not unloaded within 48 hours, excluding Sundays and holidays. Rates: 60 cents per day for days 1–5, $1 for days 6–10, and $2 for each additional day, with fractions counted as a full day. Also included: for rent notices offering furnished rooms at Warren Emporium.
