A 10 o’clock Buckingham bulletin says the king slept well and the wound’s dressing causes distress but no bad symptoms. An official afternoon update notes he avoids state matters, shows courage, and the dressing is done from the bottom to aid healing as doctors remain at the palace.
Ross Fork June 40 Sheepmen hope for larger range but Interior Department orders no grazing on ceded lands. Lands priced at 1.25 an acre and prosecutions planned for crossing old boundaries. Indian Agent Caldwell issues 79 patents to Indians staying on ceded lands. A man named Bingham reports being fired at near Pocatello. no injuries. Fort Hall Indian School ends year with 152 pupils. eleven to Lawrence Kansas.
Washington June 40 Congress is ready to adjourn but hangs on the Philippine bill in conference. A 10 to 11 o’clock report is expected and coinage questions may be settled to avoid prolonged debate. If cleared, only two appropriations remain, and lawmakers plan to leave Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. The session is praised for reforms including repeal of revenue taxes and the irrigation bill.
Washington June 30 The senate and house leaders agreed to adjourn at 3 pm tomorrow. Conferees reached a settlement on the Philippine civil government bill after dropping amendments to the coinage clause. The house native legislature amendment is accepted provided a census is taken and results sent to Washington.

Chicago June 30 grain prices climbed on renewed rain and dull demand. July wheat jumped to 74 1. August wheat rose to 74 1. July corn moved up to 72. September corn increased to 62?. oats gained one cent as shorts covered.
Colorado began proceedings in the supreme court to dissolve the smelter trust for restricting competition and harming local industries. The case seeks to ordered forfeiture of property related to the trust amid debates on monopolistic practices and impact on workers and markets.
Colorado Springs June 30 All injured from the Colorado Midland wreck yesterday are recovering. Twenty five passengers sent to St Francis hospital. ten discharged this morning. One man killed. Francis M English Dr Lewis of Cripple Creek and Mary O Rourke of Victor seriously hurt but likely to recover. Wreck occurred near Cascade when a broken rail caused forward cars to overturn on the excursion train from Cripple Creek carrying 600 people.
New York stock market shows exceptional weakness with very little activity. A small movement in clocks is expected this week. Colorado Fuel and Iron rose one point this morning.
Havana reports a looming commercial financial crash as the United States refusal to grant reciprocity concessions forces large American interests such as Armour and Swift out of Cuba. The panic grows as investments retreat and the market deteriorates amid the ongoing policy dispute.
George Strong brother of Sam Strong the Cripple Creek mine owner killed last August died in Denver city jail. He had traveled from Hot Springs Arkansas with John A. Tapp of Pittsburg Texas and fell ill after drinking. The two men went on roaring aprees until Strong’s alcohol induced death.
W P Kissinger murdered Mrs W P Garner and killed himself at Pearl. He had married Mrs Ada Horn twelve years earlier then fell for Garner’s sister Mattie Horn. A Boise suicide note cites motive and he left town from Oregon to kill Ada Horn. Bodies arrived in Boise. brother from Eugene to claim remains.
Annapolis reports arrangements for conveying the body of Lord Pauncefor to the cruiser Brooklyn lying there. The body will be carried to England with elaborate services involving cadets and bluejackets. The Brooklyn will sail for England on tomorrow's flood tide.
The Turners invite the community to an entertaining Trop Fourth of July social event featuring royal themed festivities and lively activities for all attendees.

London reports the marriage of Ian Malcolm MP and Jeanne Langtry, daughter of the famed actress. The ceremony drew lavish gifts including a jewel with an autograph letter from King Edward, signaling a high society event.
Senator Elkins Republican of West Virginia spoke in support of a Cuba annexation resolution. He said it has no relation to reciprocity and would require Cuba to take the initiative. He argued no sufficient reason against annexation and noted the measure depends on Cuban initiative.
Sheriff Smalley reported an embezzlement arrest of E. H. Neff of this city in Diamondville. Neff acted as agent for William C. Stacy selling Rand McNally maps in the state and is charged with collecting 240 dollars for maps in Cheyenne Rawlins Green River and Evanston and using the funds personally. He will be returned to Cheyenne to face the charge.

Jones has a wife and two children.
