Pioneer in municipal electric lighting credited to Warren
A debate over credit for Cheyenne’s electric light plant corrects a misattribution to Alex Swan. United States Senator Francis Warren is named as the true pioneer, with his 1889 project cited as the first municipal electric lighting system. The notice clarifies Swan had no connection to the early system. Also includes a timber land notice by Jesse Cole and related legal language.

Floto's Circus Impresses Crowds Despite Mixed Acts
Floto's Circus drew large afternoon and evening crowds behind the State capitol. The show lacked size but featured daring Japanese wire work and strong central-platform acrobats. Bareback riding and trained animals were mediocre, but the overall performance pleased patrons and the absence of fakirs was noted. The Floto troupe left for the south after morning departures.
