A Wyoming company with 4 million dollars in capital plans a 200 mile railroad from Fort Laramie to Betherton on the Sweetwater. The line would open rich sections for coal oil and copper, reach soda lakes, connect with Colorado & Southern and Burlington, and begin work promptly.

A long Interior Department notice from Cheyenne Wyoming reports a contest affidavit by Willard Carpenter against Irwin W Peck for homestead entry 2668 filed July 9 1891 in section 24 township 16 north range 69 west. It states Peck has abandoned the land and not resided for over a year and had not cultivated or improved it. Public notice ordered after due diligence. Also notices of final proof dates for Alexander Kirkbride and Pharis Griffigs with witnesses listed. Short notices include a Chicago trip rate and funeral services by Warren Mercantile Co, Cheyenne.
