Dr Eugene Grissom formerly of Denver a noted alienist died by his own hand last night in Washington The physician aged about years had suffered years of ill health and despondency and it is believed he killed himself by a bullet passing through the brain at once
Pawhuska July 28 The Osage Indian agent arrives with 495000 in cash to make the regular payment to Osage Indians each receiving 110 while traders’ bills will absorb most of the funds.
Boston July 28 The Herald reports many Democratic national committee members view Bryan as an important factor yet unlikely to be renominated or a candidate for the presidency. Key issues cited include trusts tariffs and a revision of imperialism.
Fort Scott Kansas July 28 The testimony today points to a plumbers trust in Kansas as Charles Strum a local plumber sues to force prosection and alleges wholesale houses won t sell to him because the National Plumbers Association passed a resolution to boycott any wholesale house that sells to non members.
Oklahoma City reports 15 year old John Purdy shot and killed 17 year old Thomas Blunt at McCloud after a quarrel. Purdy fled on a freight train following the incident.
The striking messenger boys returned to work this morning by compromising their demand in Chicago.
Trinidad Colo July 28 J F Jarrell a prominent business man of Folsom New Mexico has disappeared causing alarm among friends and creditors. Last seen in Folsom last Thursday. Jarrell is deeply in debt and it is believed this caused his disappearance. The First National Bank here holds his paper for 50000 dollars.
Washington wires report that Conaul Donaldson of Managua Paraguay says the president will commute Russell Wilsons death sentence as a courtesy to the United States and mother sympathy. Wilson, an American doctor allied with insurgents, was captured and saved by Senator Hanna’s intervention.
New York reported Mrs Mary Mead died this morning after strangling her three children. She initially revived at midnight and, upon learning of her children's fate, became hysterical and died shortly after.
Washington reports Chinese Minister Wu is packing household goods to return to China while subscription to gifts and hospitality appeals occupy him. A cablegram says his successor will not depart England until after the coronation. Wu has been generous in replying to donors.
Striking miners attacked non union workers at Hinoor colliery Shenandoah. Foreman Daniel Landerman fatally shot by buckshot as others fled. Albert Landerman wounded while fleeing. four others beaten. Riot mood spreads to Lanford Wilkesbarre region with sheriffs overwhelmed and troop appeal likely.
An official announcement states the king's health remains excellent and the wound is healing rapidly at Cowes.

Cattlemen opposed the enterprise and attempted to buy her out but failed. The herder was bound and ganged and the animals slaughtered amid regional tension and anticipated arrests.
Twenty Brooklyn residents were hurt in an elevator accident described as unique. The incident involved parallel tracks and a collision near an elevated train line, ripping roots and sides from four cars.

Government experts say the dam and ditches would be inexpensive and capable of storing ample water for reclamation, with a final site selection after tests on western reservoirs.

William Hunter, who recently confessed to forging checks totaling thirty dollars and received a fifteen month sentence, escaped from the Veridap County Jail yesterday morning between seven and eight o'clock. He used a bucket beside the lock to fashion a jail key. Sheriff Neilson and deputies are searching the city and surrounding country with a $26 reward offered for his capture.

Thompson of Rock Springs as first alternate Carl Ruprecht of Laramie as second alternate John White Gillespie of Lookout as third alternate and George S. Sellons of Fort Bridger as fourth alternate Examinations to test mental and physical qualifications will be held at Cheyenne by the civil service commission on August 11.
Nine year old Grace Rooney daughter of Mr and Mrs Rooney of 7 Lillian Terrace was injured yesterday at 1 30 pm when a 38 caliber revolver in neighbor Mrs Mosher s house fired in play. The ball damaged the index finger and a second finger may be lost. Dr Deamond amputated the index finger and a risk of lockjaw exists.
