The reservoirs held back over 16 000 000 000 cubic feet of flood water from May 20 to July 1, amid timber cutting and erosion concerns. Reforestation and halting timber cutting on the Morris hill Indian reservation are urged to sustain river transport.

The deposit carries copper gold and silver in commercial quantities and promises a profitable future. The Topeka team plans to store ore until the Laramie Hahn's Peak Pacific line reaches the mine in early spring for shipment.
