Washington February 27 The house approves an amendment allowing president to detail army officers as Indian agents to fill vacancies while under interior secretary orders and not subject to political interference. The vote 123 to 43. Also, $10004 for Indian schools and a Wisconsin amendment to locate schools on reservations. A separate vote on the Bland silver bill is planned for March 21 or 22 with possible filibuster.
