In Lexpos inquest Sadler who faces murder charges for the Carroty Nell case describes his movements after leaving the women to a lodging house and before arrest. He says he was en route to a hospital to treat dock wounds and denies selling a knife the day after the murder.
The report notes Liberal candidates elected by acclamation where unopposed. Dr. Vaillancourt of Dorchester Que Wilfred as opposition leader, and Dr. Rinfret of Lothimore Que are named. In Kingston Ont Sir John MacDonald, Alex Guon and Maj Edwards were nominated for the Liberal and Single Tax lines.

Feb 26 reports from Wiexespakar and Weat Pittston state Anna Dickinson II remains of sound mind. friends deny asylum removal claims amid health insomnia. A separate Irwin snowslide buried the Bullion King boarding house and Superintendent Ripell’s dwelling. Mrs Ripell, Mrs Ed Clark, and a child are still buried with little hope of survival.
The Ogden Standard reports Judge M. Preshaw, a Cheyenne pioneer, died at 61 after a sudden illness. A native of Ohio, he formerly ran an undertaker and contracting business, served as alderman and police judge, and was active in the Knights of Pythias. He leaves a wife and two daughters, one visiting Gainesville Texas and the other in Omaha.
The Laramie Republican reports Hon. A. L. Sutherland of Sherman receiving a sword and belt from Cheyenne and Rock Springs merchants and a cane from Rock Springs. Letters praise his honesty and public service. A suspect linked to Hirram Faulkes’ murder was arrested near Denver but discharged as not the man.
