A collision near Bordentown on the Amboy division of the Pennsylvania Railroad killed nine passengers outright with more fatalities expected. War field tragedy ends in murder suicide near Atlanta

In Civil War era Atlanta a young widow Mrs H M Wilson and William Hamilton a pharmacy student were found dead by Confederate breastworks. Hamilton shot Wilson then burned the woods and killed himself leaving an empty cigarette box beside his body. Wilson had left home a week earlier without a hat and with slippers.

Bigamist and forger arrested in Denver

William B. Reddish of Lincoln Nebraska was seized in Denver at Lincoln police request charged with bigamy and forgery. He used the name Stanley and advertised to hire young women. Reportedly two wives in Nebraska one in Cripple Creek and another in Denver with several children. He passed a counterfeit three hundred dollar check on a Lincoln bank.

Washington February 22 Senator Warren introduced an amendment to the sundry civil bill to raise the Cheyenne government building cost limit from 250000 to 225000 and authorize the treasury secretary to make contracts for completion.
