Imposters Trandy and Wyman Swindle $50,000 in Philadelphia

In Philadelphia on February 14 two men using the names Trandy and Wyman posed as a commission firm and duped New York dry goods merchants out of nearly $50,000 by obtaining credit for goods, selling them, and fleeing the city.

Bridge Washout Kills Engineer and Fireman on Dayton Line

A bridge on the Dayton and Southeastern road near Chillicothe washed away and an engine with several cars plunged into the stream. The engineer and fireman were killed instantly. The passenger coaches survived without further injuries.
