Vienna reports the Montage Revue states a treaty has been concluded between Germany and Austro-Tanya. Austro-Tanya renounces rights under Prague treaty article five to urge Prussia to permit plebiscite in Schleswig on possible restoration to Denmark.
In the U S circuit court Louis Norris faced an indictment for stuffing a ballot box at the congressional election. A general demurrer argued stuffing a ballot box is not a penal offense. the demurrer was sustained and Norris discharged.
Jacob Shew of San Francisco, a noted photographer, ended his life this morning at his gallery by blowing out his brains, after mounting financial embarrassment. The tragedy underscores pressures facing local artists in the city.
