Albany dispatch reports Colonel Henry B Rathbone killed his wife and committed suicide. He and his wife hailed from prominent families, with Mrs Rathbone being a daughter of former U S Senator Harris. The event follows a deadly tragedy amid high social connections in Hanover Germany.
A Craft was hanged in the county jail yard at 11:30 today for the murder of Thomas Rogers last June. He protested his innocence as the rope ended his life. Frank Young slated for execution today received a sixty day reprieve from the President to allow his case to go before the supreme court.
Four couples from Rorring Creek were riding in a sleigh when the horses ran away near Rockton last night. The sleigh went over a precipice. James Smith suffered leg and arm injuries, Henry Green broke an arm, Mary Krobner was internally injured, and several others were only slightly hurt.

A dynamite box was found on the Great Western railway near Axminster, and a blast occurred at Birkenhead on the night of the 26th.
