Denver, December 26. A warrant was sworn for Fred G. Bonfils, Denver Post proprietor, following a morning encounter that left ex Senator Thomas M. Patterson injured. Patterson says Bonfils struck him from behind and beat him after a heated dispute over published threats to run Bonfils out of business. Bonfils claims self defense after a confrontation over Patterson's threats in the News and Times. Patterson, 70, and Bonfils, 44, are central figures in this newspaper feud.
