One man was killed one fatally injured and two others hurt when a Pacific Electric electric car struck a wagon carrying four men at the Anaheim road crossing near Wilmington California early this morning. Denver, December 26. A warrant was sworn for Fred G. Bonfils, Denver Post proprietor, following a morning encounter that left ex Senator Thomas M. Patterson injured. Patterson says Bonfils struck him from behind and beat him after a heated dispute over published threats to run Bonfils out of business. Bonfils claims self defense after a confrontation over Patterson's threats in the News and Times. Patterson, 70, and Bonfils, 44, are central figures in this newspaper feud.
Judge Anderson overruled a motion to remove John R. Walsh’s case from the jury. Attorney Miller was interrupted during defense argument as the judge said further discussion would not help and the motion was denied.
In Laird Colorado near Haigler Nebraska a Christmas reunion turned fatal when J P Barretts was shot and killed by Lafe Allen known as Hickory. Lafe Allen and several others were badly wounded and all involved were arrested. The motive centers on boasting about their children.
In Faulkner County near Mons, Jim Hall is suspected of shooting Mrs Emma Hearness and her eight year old son on Christmas Eve after an alleged dispute over Hall’s hound. Hall, armed, fled as a posse hunted him Christmas Day.
The twenty hour race at Park Square rink ends with J F Moran of Chelsea and Ivor Lawcen of Salt Lake City as winners after 46 miles 4 laps. Patrick Logan of Boston and W S Mitten of Davenport finish tied for second, forcing a final sprint to decide.
Theresa Zalin ski, 23, was shot and killed and Victoria Stokes, 19, shot in the arm by Frank Koselaki, fiancé of Zalin ski, as they returned from a dance in Chicago. Koselaki was arrested. motive unknown to police.
In Riverside California on December 26 Horace Magee a half breed Indian killed Constable P V Swanguen and Louis Escallier in a Degoumes billiard room after an argument. John Jackson struck Magee with a billiard cue as two shots misfired. Magee died from his wounds.
Henry Hlorneft praised a Christus dinner then killed himself in his home on December 26 in Pittsburg. He had been anxious over the ton of tin position recently and spoke to his wife before taking the fatal action.
Charles Quimby aged 27 shot his wife Winnie in Newcastle Pennsylvania yesterday after a jealous dispute. He fled the scene but is pursued by authorities. The woman is mortally wounded and in critical condition.

In Steamboat Springs Roy Russell and Bert Wells vanished after traveling toward Buffalo Pass to aid John R. Smith, the North Park prospector. A six man party with ten days of provisions heads for the pass while a famous dog to assists with carrying supplies. Smith reached town four hours after the men departed.
Joseph Row dynamited the home of Satingo Mantrivela a Charleroi widow who refused his marriage proposal. The blast injured Mrs Mantrivela breaking a leg, sparked fires to her house and nearby structures causing about 10000 dollars in damage.
Georgetown Ky Dec 26 The Powers murder trial of Ralph Powers for alleged complicity in William Goebel's death will probably go to the jury about Wednesday noon. Most of today was spent discrediting the testimony of Henry Youtoey.
At the Indiana biennial love feast in Indianapolis on December 26 resolutions unanimously urged the nomination of Vice President Fairbanks for the presidency. United States Beveridge presided and praised Fairbanks career while pledging Indiana’s delegation to stand solidly with him at the national convention.
Chicago reports that Dr Joseph Peasden a top Nelson Morris & Co scientist faced fatal lockjaw from tetanus after a nose fracture at a packing plant. He urged physicians to end his life but doctors refused citing law and ethics. he later died.
Two young men Michael Malonney and Milo Stratton were attacked by three foreigners in Second Avenue as they returned home for supper. Malonney was stabbed and severely wounded, with intestines severed, and is not expected to survive. the assailants fled the scene.
