Live Stock Markets Show Demand Strong and Prices Up
The Denver market reports good demand for the few cattle offered and firm to 20 cents higher prices. Beef cattle demand was solid with limited sales. cows also firm, with some top cows at 3.80 and others around 3.65. Feeding cows mainly 2.00 to 2.50, thin canners down to 1.50. Sheep offerings were absent. local demand remains healthy as eastern markets absorb shipments. Bulls and veal calves remain in good demand at firm prices.

Man Finds $10 000 Bill Hidden in Tomato Can
East St. Louis December 25 Patrick Sullivan an ice wagon driver with a large family found a $10 000 bill in a tomato can picked up in an alley of the residence part of town. Conrad Reed cashier Southern Maoin National Bank examined the bill under a microscope and said it appeared genuine. The bill will be taken to the subtreasury in St Louis tomorrow for examination.
