Defendants Seek New Trial In Denver Bank Conspiracy Case
James A. Hill president of the Denver Savings Bank and Leonard Imboden were found guilty of conspiring to wreck the bank. A motion for a new trial will be argued tomorrow. Imboden, a Missouri Oklahoma and Indian Territory promoter, was accused of leading the looting scheme. Hill, once linked to Imboden, faced additional embezzlement indictments. In Memphis, plans move forward for an eight story Goodwyn Institute building as a library and auditorium funded by a $400,000 bequest, costing at least $260,000.
