Good Beef Steers Lead Denver Livestock Market
In Denver on December 18 the livestock market showed quiet overall trade with about 600 head. Beef cattle demand was fairly active with steers selling mostly from 3.90 to 5.10, cows 2.65 to 3.75, bulls and veal calves in strong demand, and sheep trading absent though demand cited as good. Separate items note libel charges against Rockefeller Jr. and a court appearance for Bradford Merrill, with Merrill paroled until December 26.
