Receipts of cattle were light with Iberal fed stock included and strong demand overall. Prices were slightly above yesterday but below last week near the close, with top steer prices around 5.75 to 6.25 and cows at 4.40, while feeders and stockers showed firm prices with some declines from a week ago.
Galveston Texas December reports Col Moody owner of Moody's game preserve and guest William Jennings Bryan along with two other hunters were arrested for killing ten ducks, despite a per hunter limit of twenty five. Three pleaded guilty and claimed Bryan did not kill more than sixteen, with a twenty five dollar fine per offense.
President elect Taft and Congress will receive a monster petition at the next session asking for universal woman suffrage. Laura Crees, a national organizer for the National Woman's Suffrage Association, tours Denver to enlist groups and aim for 3,000,000 signatures as part of a vigorous nationwide campaign with state level momentum.
