Early today two Sungehanna division freight trains collided near Cooperstown junction. Fireman Paul Gimpson was killed, another fireman fatally wounded, a brakeman injured, and an engineer hurt leaping from his locomotive. The incident demolished 25 cars and halted rail traffic.
