Washington April 23 Representatives Clark and Bonynge opposed a bill authorizing Hewall to admit Chinese Japanese and Portuguese labor. They joined Williams in opposing the measure arguing it would erode the alien contract labor law. Cook questioned Kieffer about coolie labor in Ohio. The bill was defeated.
