Vancouver sociologist notes Partyline an electronic attempt at forging social identities. Teens dominate Sunday calls with up to nine others, while adults use a separate line. In 13 weeks it handled nearly 500,000 calls, about 70 percent to teen line, with 10 teen lines and four adult lines.
