On April 26 1980 in South Broad Junction Newfoundland Terry Fox reached Day 16 of his Marathon of Hope covering miles while facing fog damp cold and fatigue He pressed on after a rough 25 mile day and even did fifteen push ups on the road declaring he would not quit and would set an unforgettable example Chetwynd’s Terry Fox Run followed on September 16 with many participants.
