Registration for Chet wynd's Brownie Pack No 1 and Guide Company No 1 is Monday September 30 at Windrem School 7:30 p.m. Parents accompany daughters. Fees are 3 dollars for the year. Ministers meet with Hudson's Hope council
The Hon James Lorimer minister of municipal affairs led a delegation in Hudsons Hope on September 11 with deputy minister Robert Prittie and officials Don Jansen and Thomas Moore. North Peace MLA Ed Smith joined the party for talks on taxation and a tour of the dam site. Local officials including Mayor Rod Trew and aldermen McWilliams Boykowich MacKeigan LaPointe and McWilliams attended a long day with a later council meeting. A new municipal clerk should start September 15.

Mortgage burning ceremony at Chetwynd Elks Hall
Grand Exalted Ruler Vern Gooding of North Bay Ontario will visit the Chetwynd Elks on September 28 1974 at 730 pm to burn the Hall mortgage. Elks Lodge No 900 received its charter on November 6 1965 and the hall was dedicated June 20 1970 by Gooding. Members may invite one couple to the social after the ceremony.
