Outdoors Society hikers ridge with industry risk near Chetwynd
Chetwynd Outdoors Society led about a dozen hikers up Mt Le Huditte at 6000 feet for a day of alpine views and ridges. President Darcy Stanger warned that Xstrata’s coal mine application could end access to the ridge, threatening the area’s scenery and hiking space. Rob Monahan and his sons joined the ascent, while plans to reestablish a fire tower on Mount Bickford were discussed.
