BC Ambulance Service to adopt flat $80 travel fee October 1
BCAS will switch to a flat $80 per trip for MSP patients and all ground/air combinations. The reform eliminates distance based charges, reduces MSP bills by about 68,000 annually, and ends fees for inter hospital transfers and document copies. Fees for non MSP patients rise to reflect costs, with helicopter and fixed wing rates adjusted accordingly.
