BC Gas faced questions over gas line leak response in Chetwynd
Officials described a seven hour effort to control a gas leak with digging rather than heavy equipment while noting maps are outdated. Businesses were evacuated and 11 Public Works workers plus fire crews were on site. Mayor Lasser and BC Gas executives promised safety and may seek action from BC Gas leadership and the Public Utilities Commission.
