Cunningham speaks on Louisiana Pacific project at Chetwynd luncheon
LP representative Ray Cunningham reported at the Chetwynd Chamber luncheon that TNL Contractors are on site with a late construction schedule but expect to start concrete this week. The mill is planned to employ about 65 workers in mill and 100 in woodlands on completion, with 60 hires this year and 250 next year drawn from Dawson Creek Fort St. John and Chetwynd. A temporary office is set, then moved to the mill site. The discussion noted local labor shortages and no on site camp.
