Chetwynd Student Visits Science Program At BCIT
Erin Garson of Willow Flats BC attended The Monkey Business 1990 at The British Columbia Institute of Technology, a week long program by the Canadian Centre for Creative technology for students entering grades eight and nine. The group toured an amusement park to study physics, visited the Vancouver Stock Exchange and planetarium, explored V Tech, debated Amazon rainforest fate, and created a pager watch concept for hospital use. Erin plans advertising or teaching careers after enjoying two two day robotics and physics seminars and TV broadcasting practice. The program fostered friendships, staff accessibility, and renewed interest in technology among the twenty nine participants.
