Tourism Counsellor Report From Chetwynd Summer

The season in Chetwynd brought upbeat tourism with peak weekends handling over 100 visitors daily. Counsellors share colorful encounters from guests worldwide, celebrate smiles, and note a standout piping moment and two Mexican visitors misreading local meds. Alaska Highway closures disrupted travel, stranding tourists in Ft Nelson and Dawson Creek, yet many pressed on after brief discouragement. For July and August they counseled 3590 people.
