Stubley wins top trophy at provincial meet for under eights
Wade Stubley of Hudson's Hope Piranhas took the top provincial aggregate trophy for eight years and under. He earned golds in Butterfly and Breast, finished sixth in Free Style to qualify second in Finals for the Silver Medal. Brenda Nielson of Prince George, another eight and under aggregate winner, set two records winning golds in Breast and Freestyle with silvers in Back and Butterfly. Danny Shields of Dawson Creek set a new Boys 17 and over record in Breast for his gold, and Ann Marie Feeley of Quesnel won bronze in Butterfly and Back.

Federal provincial highway pledge for northern BC

An eleven year old girl died in a one vehicle crash in Chetwynd while a Plymouth car carrying ten occupants traveled on Highway 29 near Cantor offices at 8 15 p m on September 1 1974. Three other occupants were hospitalized and may be transferred to Vancouver for treatment. Coroner Williams attended and RCMP investigate.

Guilty on theft charge in East Pine break ins
