Moberly Lake Volunteer Fire Dept Elects New Leaders

At the October 2014 meeting the department elected a new executive including Vice President Mike Rae, Secretary Ron Bennough, Treasurer Buddy Parker, and Chief Rob Henry. President Ralph Parker begins a second term. Board members include Rita, Ralph, Marie, Roger Rohel, Janis Nousek, Don Martin, Neil Phillips, Darlene Evans, Aylmer Kabush, Sharon Bennough. Melody Peck read minutes. Buddy Parker presented the financial statement.

Local council discusses grant plans and insurance rates

Rob Henry submitted the BC 21 grant application form for building improvements but details remain to be determined with the Regional District. Ron Bennough presented insurance rates from H and H Insurance comparing non protected CHETWYND ECHO districts. A motion ordered review of Moberly Lake classification as non protected. Arden Smith reported TV project progress with dish transmitter painting and antenna installation pending, expected completion in a couple of weeks.
