Council Meeting Highlights In Chetwynd October 1993
Council discussed Federation of Canadian Municipalities concerns on grants in lieu taxes infrastructure and social housing. RCMP Sgt Lyle Burt introduced himself and offered quarterly attendance. Grant of 30000 from BC Healthy Communities Council for two phase Chetwynd Healthy Communities program with phase two requiring up to 15000 in kind or cash match. Budget review urged better tracking of surpluses and improved recreation centre use. Funding declined for Moberly Lake Sound recording studio project and staff were approved to attend regional conferences and Kelowna training.
