Cranbrook couple charged in US odometer fraud scheme
Retired RCMP officer Ronald H. Simpson and his wife Nicole J. Simpson of Cranbrook face US fraud charges over allegedly rolling back odometers on 120 exported Canadian vehicles bound for Spokane Washington. They allegedly led Geronimo Holdings Ltd. to sell higher mileage SUVs and pickups for greater profit. Extradition proceedings have begun as US authorities pursue the case.
