Conservatives unveil throne speech priorities in Ottawa
Prince GeorgeMP Jay Hill says the Kyoto Protocol was scrapped to meet 2008 targets, rejecting claims it aimed to trigger an election. The speech outlines five priorities including emissions reduction, crime, tax cuts, senate reform, Arctic sovereignty, Afghanistan extension to 2011, marketing choice for barley, biofuels support, water protection, and ending the long gun registry. The NDP and Bloc Quebecois plan to oppose.
