City buys Fort Hotel at tax sale in Fort St. John
The City of Fort St. John purchased the Fort Hotel site for $72,000 at a Sept 28 tax sale after owner Michael Lee failed to pay three years of taxes. The city plans debris cleanup amid asbestos questions, with a 12 month potential right of redemption for Leo. If not redeemed, the city would own the property and consider sale or public use.
