Province scam hits Chetwynd victims high profile man
A province wide confidence scam struck Chetwynd targeting Helene Weightman Chamber of Commerce manager who lost 300 dollars. The impostor claimed to be Roland Willson of West Moberly First Nations and pressed for funds to help a dying child and returning Lions Club contact. Weightman described pressure tactics time crunch and fear of delay. The transfer was made to a Mr. Robert Peter before the scammer paused.
