Curtain falls on auto legend Oldsmobile ending era
General Motors will phase out the Oldsmobile division over the next several years in a move CEO Rick Wagoner calls painful yet necessary for future competitiveness. The plan includes dealer support, a dedicated owner call center, and incentives of 1500 toward new GM vehicles or 1000 toward other eligible models for 1996 or newer Oldsmobile buyers. Eligible owners will receive details by mail.
