Appointment of C W J Boatman as Site C project manager
F J Patterson of B C Hydros hydroelectric division announced the appointment of C W J Boatman as project manager for the Site C hydroelectric development on the Peace River near Fort St John. Boatman will oversee all project activities including licensing and, if approvals come, design construction and commissioning, and will be the primary contact with government agencies municipalities industry landowners the public and media. Since 1973 he has served as construction manager at the G M Shrum generating station for units 9 and 10 and as construction manager for the Peace Canyon project due for completion this year.

Building permits double in January to September 1980
