Chetwynd and District Hospital adds two new machines to its laboratory. A Nova I Biochemical analyser speeds up electrolyte readings, notably Sodium and Potassium, delivering results in 59.2 seconds. Twelve men enroll in Northern Lights College program
Twelve local men have joined a six week B C Employment Labour Program at Northern Lights College. Instructor Bill Webster coordinates with the College and the Construction Labourers Training Plan. Students combine lectures with on site field work at local construction sites including the Library Addition Site. Cement was poured into forms as Chetwynd Redi-Mix assisted. Funding for the program comes from unspecified sources.
