Nelson wins 1975 B C Rodeo Rookie of the Year
Rhonda Nelson received the 1975 B C Rodeo Rookie of the Year award at the Ashcroft Community Centre on September 20. Vernon’s Dave Anderson team won top roping, Sheila Haggert of Vernon won barrels, Dianne White of 100 Mile House and Rhonda Nelson of Kamloops placed second and third respectively. Nelson earned a trophy buckle horse blanket head stall and braided reins.

A window was broken in a neighboring apartment by flying debris. no injuries reported. The incident is under investigation.
