Ferns require regular watering but must not be waterlogged to avoid root rot. Maintain humidity with peat trays or wet pebbled saucers, use gravel troughs for groups, and keep room temperatures around 50 to 55 degrees. Repot yearly or top-dress as needed, mix loam leaf mould peat sand and charcoal, prune moss, and adjust light and nutrients with bonemeal if fronds fade.
Chinook Daze will run February 16 to 19 1984 in Chetwynd with plans being finalized. A November 29 meeting at 7 30 pm in the Recreation Centre invites clubs and individuals to sponsor events such as hockey games dances parades and dog sled races.
Last week in Chetwynd showcased two fashion shows. Candy Stripers sponsored the Elks hall event with Villager Casuals and Kamjeedah Jewellery pieces while C.W.L. sponsored the parish hall show featuring Iversons. Models ranged from toddlers to expectant mothers, including a standout 14kt gold fingernail charm.
