Chetwynd Beehive Burners Will Not End Soon
Chetwynd residents led by Mayor Barb Shirley learn that beehive burners will not be eliminated this year. Environment officials outline phased shutdowns for tier I by December 31 1996 and tier II by December 31 1997, with possible extensions if alternative plans are approved. The dates will be integrated into provincial regulations, with cabinet authority finalizing changes.
