Transportation conference discusses east west corridor in Smithers
At a late October transportation conference in Smithers about 350 participants explored provinces wide rail and road links from Edmonton to Prince George and beyond. Councillor Cunningham of Chetwynd urged council involvement, noting potential benefits for Chetwynd and possible rail line sales to Translink for regional shipment of grain and coal.
