Vancouver Co Generation Plant Planned At West Fraser Mill
The city collaborates with a Vancouver company on feasibility for a 40 million dollar co generation plant at West Fraser Mill. It will use hog fuel and wood waste, create over 100 construction jobs for up to 18 months and 30 permanent jobs, and sell green power to BC Hydro. Initiatives are guided by the Economic Development Commission and the Chetwynd and Area Economic Development Strategy Plan.
