Hydro engineers sign tech information pact with China
A memorandum of understanding on mutual exchange of technical information and staff training was signed by B C Hydro chairman Robert W Bonner and Zhu Jingle of China’s Ministry of Electric Power during a Hydro engineers visit to China this month. The exchange covers system planning high voltage research and computer programs and will be arranged through liaison between Stanley Chiang and Zhu Yunpei.

Chetwynd Committee seeks 40000 for new UHF equipment
Bert McGraw and Heinz Mueller asked the council on November 4 for a 15000 grant to fund new communications gear. Switching from VHF to UHF would reduce interference and require 40000 more. 8000 of gear already ordered, with delivery in 16 to 20 weeks and funds to come from selling current equipment and private donations.
