Northern Tax Allowance Ends for Chetwynd and Nearby Areas
The Task Force on Tax Benefits for Northern and Isolated Areas submitted its report to Finance Minister Michael Wilson. It recommends that only truly northern regions qualify for the Northern Tax Allowance, excluding Dawson Creek Fort St. John Chetwynd Pouce Coupe and Hudson's Hope, with boundaries designed to minimize adjacent ineligible communities.
