Teachers serve strike notice in British Columbia
At 8 06 this morning the B C Teachers Federation served 72 hour strike notice on the B C Public School Employers Association. Limited job action will begin in schools across the province on Thursday. President David Chudnovsky said talks since last March yielded little progress and warned against cutbacks that would hurt student learning. The plan allows withdrawal of non teaching duties to pressure the employer while limiting student impact.
