Hallowe'en Egg Pranks Hit Local School Area
On Hallowe'en night hundreds of youths roamed the town after 4 p.m. eggs caused property damage. RCMP and Auxiliary police handled a flood of calls as windows at the High School Post Office Chet Villa Apt were smashed and eggs hurled at residents including a local teacher. Hotel Chetwynd boarded up ground level after last year’s damage while grease was sprayed inside.

Juvenile dies in hunting accident on Moberly Lake Reserve
A juvenile youth died in a hunting accident on the Moberly Lake Indian Reserve. Two other youths were present when the incident occurred Sunday afternoon October 27, 1974 at about 3 30 p m. The RCMP at Chetwynd are investigating.
